1. Overview
This website offers a free domain name generator and a domain availability checker that run in your web browser. This policy explains what information is processed when you use it, which third parties are involved, and what choices you have.
2. What the tool processes
The keywords and domain names you type are processed in your browser to create name ideas. This website does not have a database or user accounts, and it does not send your keywords to its own server.
3. Third-party lookups and IP addresses
To check whether a name is registered, the generated candidate domain names, which contain your keyword, are sent over HTTPS to the registry data service (RDAP) operated by Verisign (rdap.verisign.com) for .com and .net names, and to the public DNS-over-HTTPS service operated by Cloudflare (cloudflare-dns.com) for other extensions or when the registry cannot be reached. As with any web request, each of these services receives your IP address and basic browser information and handles it under its own privacy policy. The keyword alone is not sent, but the candidate names that contain it are.
If you leave the Add related words option turned on, your keyword is also sent over HTTPS to the Datamuse word-finding service (api.datamuse.com) to find words with a similar meaning. Datamuse receives your keyword and your IP address and applies its own privacy practices. You can turn the option off to avoid this request.
If AI suggestions are switched on for this site and you leave the Include AI suggestions option ticked, the keyword and project description you type are sent to our own server and from there to Google, the company that provides the Gemini AI models, to generate extra name ideas. Our server does not store or log your keyword or description. To limit costs and abuse it keeps only a daily usage counter linked to a one-way, salted hash of your IP address, and deletes these counters after a few days. Google processes the request under its own terms and privacy policy for its paid API service. You can untick the option to keep your keyword away from the AI provider.
4. Server logs
The web hosting provider that serves this website may record standard server logs, such as IP address, time of request and pages requested, for security and operation. We do not use these logs to identify visitors, and retention periods depend on the hosting provider.
5. Fonts and other third-party resources
This page loads a web font from Google Fonts. Your browser requests the font from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details for that request.
6. Cookies
When Google Analytics is turned on, it sets first-party cookies, such as _ga, to tell visits apart. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland these cookies are not set unless you allow them, and everywhere you can allow or refuse them at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Without analytics cookies, Google may still receive basic, cookieless signals so that it can estimate visit counts. This website sets no other cookies. If you save names to your shortlist, the list is kept in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is not sent to us, and you can remove it with the Clear button or your browser settings. A share link contains the saved names inside the link itself, so anyone who has the link can see them. Third-party services described in this policy may set their own cookies, for example after you click a registrar link or if advertising is enabled.
7. Analytics
This website may use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to understand how many people visit and which tools they use. When it is turned on, it records page views, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser information, and tool events such as a search being started, results being shown, a name being saved, the registrar comparison being opened or a registrar link being clicked, together with general settings such as the chosen extension, style or industry. The keywords, project descriptions and domain names you type are never sent to it, and the page address is sent without the part after the # sign, where shared shortlists are stored. Advertising features are turned off. You can read how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out in any website with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
8. Advertising and Google AdSense
This website is intended to display advertising served by Google AdSense once it is approved. When ads are enabled, Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and may use them to personalize ads. Some of these advertising cookies are associated with Google's DoubleClick (formerly DART) advertising technology, which lets Google show ads based on a visitor's visits to this and other websites. Where the law requires consent, such as in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, you will be asked for your choice before personalized advertising cookies are used.
You can manage ad personalization in Google's Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com and read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Other third-party ad vendors, if any, are subject to their own policies.
9. Affiliate links
Links to registrars and hosting providers may be affiliate links. Affiliate links are labeled as such next to the link. When you click any of these links you leave this website for a third-party site that has its own cookies and privacy policy. If a link is an affiliate link, we may earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no extra cost to you.
10. Location
This website does not ask for your location and does not request any browser permissions. Advertising and infrastructure partners may infer an approximate location from your IP address.
11. Data retention
We do not store the keywords or domain names you enter. Server logs and any data held by third parties are retained according to the policies of those providers.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR and the CCPA may give you rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to certain processing. Because this website does not keep personal data from the tool, most requests need to be directed to the third parties named above. You can also contact the webmaster with any privacy question.
13. Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
15. Contact
